Paid hourly there is no flexibility. Paid hourly there is minimal flexibility. Having children is difficult because we need to have the flexibility with their illness or other. They do not supply that negotiability.

In the four years I've been here, there has been an increase in the number of women in meaningful, impactful leadership roles. This is a positive change. I feel that the company is now well-balanced in terms of voices heard by leadership; it's no longer led by men, with women limited to lesser/less impactful roles.

As you become more senior, be prepared to be the only woman in a room of 10-20 men. Be prepared to witness your male colleagues being praised for simultaneously juggling parenting and work, especially when adversity hits (like a child sick day or a pregnant spouse) but don't expect your male colleagues to recognize your efforts to manage workplace and home commitments.

The culture is very independent, you work on small teams without a lot of camaraderie, which makes it feel like everyone is assholes. People work a lot and do put money above everything else. The company can be very "cheap" when it comes to extras or investing any time into non-billable activities, but salaries are competitive to make up for it.
