Watch your back. Other women may not support you. HR will not support you, even if your concern is legitimate. They are only interested in mai training appearances.

Take women in staff positions seriously when they say they have concerns. Don't expect women's concerns are addressed by hiring women in leadership positions. Women can treat other women very poorly if they feel threatened by them.

May 2016

Company talks a good game about acting like family and treating everyone like colleagues. People are friendly, and the culture itself is collegial. Compensation is below market rate for most positions. Taking your allotted PTO is frowned upon. Actual accrued PTO will be going down to 40 hours next year since UnitedHealthcare bought the company.

January 2016

They just completed a 5-year effort to level the playing field by adopting clear, uniform metrics that apply equally to everyone. Except that there is no repercussions if your unit ignores the new rules and metrics. I have seen administrators shrug and say "we can't make them do it", which is effectively saying "we can't make them treat women the same as men."

The hospital is run by a woman CEO, there are more women than men in positions of leadership in my department and there is a great deal of diversity given the environment.

November 2015

I've worked here for 9 months after working at a consulting firm previously. There are SO many women here, it is almost overwhelming. My team is currently 80% women, and that is not uncommon. From what I hear, the parental leave policy is strong, and there is a big focus on work / life balance. However, the healthcare plans are truly sub-par and the environment can be very political-- more about who you know than about the quality of the work you do.

Depending on which department you are in. Women are well represented in marketing leadership roles. In sales and operations, women are not in high-level roles (director and above). No issues taking your full maternity leave and mothers are well supported and cared about.
