"I think it's an okay place to start your career, but salary will stagnate (1-2.5% merit increases that do not keep up with inflation) compared to men. If you're interested, pursue a more technical department (engineering or IT) as those entry-level positions start at a higher salary."

"Beware of promises of promotions from management. My supervisor repeatedly used my family commitments to justify lack of promotional opportunities. This was why I left."

"While Textron will talk about diversity in the workplace, almost 2/3 of the workplace are males, and most leadership roles (both at the top and at the various business units) are held by men. This leads to an unconcious impact on the approach to women in the workplace. And while it's perception, one rarely sees child-bearing women in the office; not saying it doesn't happen, but it's just not that common. "

"If you have a great team and manager, it can be a great place to work. Upward mobility can be limited if you are unwilling to relocate (in my case, my husband's job made this difficult). They do often relocate working couples together, offering them both jobs so they are improving in this area."
