This is the most politically-driven environment I've ever worked in. There are only two women at the top of the company, one of whom believes every other woman is a threat to her and will do everything she can to make sure no one is promoted in a way that threatens her role.

You must firm about what you want. You must have the resolve and strategy and the negotiation skill to push through the bias against female engineers.

It depends largely on the front line manager. Some managers are very understanding and trusting, some managers like to micromanage.
Maybe. It's a very technical company so you're exposed to fun technological challenges. However, you must have the resolve and the negotiation skill to advance the skill and career. Pushing too hard can sometimes result in backlashes.

It's a good place to work, but like any other tech company, you have to be aggressive and sometimes things are unfair the higher you go.
