"It depends on which brand/department you work in what kind of experience you'll have. I've been lucky to join a team that had a very family feel to it. I have a boss who is also a mentor so she's guided me to growth. As far as the work, the business is stretched across the board people are often wearing multiple hats and have too much on their plate however for a person who's focused, able to prioritize and enjoys a challenge, this can be a good place to grow. "If you're a mother, this is a tough place to work. Upper management is mostly all white male and less understanding about needing flex time for family. Women are expected to work long & hard - something that would be much easier if they were more lenient on working remotely when needed. Also, there is a TON of change going on and hasn't had a reputation for being stable - so avoid if you're looking for stability. Lastly, there is a new sales and edit structure - but the inner-workings haven't been adjusted yet so getting anything accomplished in a timely, strategic manner for clients has been absolutely painful."

"There are a ton of women working here, and I'm sure most have a good experience. It was difficult in my department to take days off for child care without being made to feel like you were abusing the system. It was also frowned upon to raise your hand for opportunities or new learning experiences. I often felt like y requests to take on more and grow were not taken seriously. I would like to add, though, that while I did experience this in my department, HR was wonderful at hearing my concerns and helping me move forward into a different position. They understood the importance of confidentiality and were extremely professional."

"I have worked for the company 12 years, started from the ground up. I have been very fortunate to work for a brilliant boss who mentored and helped me to achieve the person I am today. What advice I can give you is build strong relationships with the senior management (which is predominantly older and male). This can be difficult for women but it will help you with your career advancement."

"I wasn't offered a paid maternity leave because we adopted. The company did however offer an adoption supplement of $5k at the time but this didn't come close to covering what I would have been paid of I had a paid maternity leave. The group I was in had a pretty good work life/family balance. My male Boss was married to a business executive so he understood the needs of a working Mom, Not all Sr Management feels the same way. I was very lucky and had a great flexible work experience."

"This is a great company for women from entry level up to executive. However, the senior management is almost exclusively older white males. There are a few women (who is kicking ass!!) but the higher up you get, the more male it gets. There are a lot of amazingly brilliant women who work here, I would love to see more of them at the executive level. Overall a great company for women in terms of benefits and talent."

"A great company in many ways, but very political. If you like to play that game, and are good at it, you can go far. Once my boss (male) asked me to go with him to a meeting that I had never gone to before. In fact, one of my colleagues usually did. I asked why the colleague wasn't going and he said not to worry about it. He introduced me at the meeting as the colleague's replacement. Colleague got laid off soon after. Again, lots of opportunity and good people, but some game playing comes with the territory."
