"At least in the office I work in, they are very flexible and we don't have a director or anything so we all work together to make sure things get done. There is a divide in the office between young and older somewhat and the older generations (45 -65) don't necessarily understand some of what the younger generations (25-35) are doing or why we do it. The older generation very much puts things on the younger generation if something doesn't get done right when 95% of the time we all do things together so really its everyones fault. Gender wise - I haven't had any issues I would say it is more of a generational difference than a gender gap which is good. "

"Depending on your department, and as long as your needs to not reach the attention of the upper administration, you might be able to work something out. "

"No"
"Though I did not, I was surprised to learn from a colleague that she was forced to take a 10% cut in pay when she had her baby, even though she was taking calls from students while in the hospital and was even grading papers just hours after the birth. The director of human resources told her that the paycut was required due to the fact that they believed she could not possibly work at 100%."
