March 2018

Majority female staff but there appears to be a focus in hiring more men lately, many who now occupy C-Suite level positions. Ethnic diversity is fairly low but that's typical in PR/marketing, unfortunately. Many working moms on staff so flex-time is generally accepted and encouraged with many parents WFH on Fridays, or leaving before official office closing time. For an agency, Marina Maher Communications does a great job in emphasizing work-life balance, which is highly unusual in this industry.

Work hard and stay professional. Some of the males in upper management will gawk and stare at you, this is acceptable here.

There are some great ladies here and they are worth continuing to work here. With so few women at the top level, its discouraging sometimes.

August 2016

In marketing, there are overwhelmingly more women than there are men at the entry to mid-senior levels. Amex in general is known for its flexibility and friendly work culture. Compared to other traditional financial services, there are also more female senior leaders (GM, SVPs). However, I would like to see more women at the very top echelon of the company (C-level and Board Members).

It can be a lot fun....If you are under 35. It is a young energetic environment and the upper management is great. The snacks and perks are great but if you are looking to feel more professional and keep your business to yourself this may not be the job for you.
