Be prepared to hear unflattering critiques about other women's 'ambition' and to be micro-managed so as to curtail your own ambition.

Make sure you see women in leadership positions in your specaility area - not just overall and ask early on for a true sponsor. Triangulate your efforts.

Once you earn it, the company is lenient with time off for personal situations.. They don't limit sick time, and people don't abuse it. We work long hours, but have the week between Christmas and New Year's off, Summer Fridays, and fair PTO depending on your level and tenure.

If you do an outstanding job, they will question your integrity and then pile on the work and expectations without appropriate pay increases. Promotions are not based on what you know but on how you are buddies with the hiring people. Men always get paid more than women, period.
