How do you handle unlimited paid time off policies with maternity leave?
My company offers "unlimited PTO." Women who go on maternity leave are not allowed to take vacation leave following maternity leave. The company has no clear policy on how many days a woman is allowed to take for vacation in the year before or after having a baby. I am very cautious to not take too much leave, but also don't want to miss out on vacation time which I should be allowed to take. I am afraid to take any vacation days leading up to childbirth and get the sense I am not allowed to take any in the year after I give birth, with the exception of sick time. Are there any laws around how unlimited vacation time policies work in tandem with maternity leave?

Received Verbal offer but no written offer, how soon should i follow up?
The CEO (also owner) of a small company reached out to me directly for an HR position. He and the CFO interviewed me. The CFO (the position reports to him) told me that he would call me by Tuesday and let me know of their decision. Tuesday evening, he said, "as promised, i'm calling you to let you know i have good news, i pushed for decision in your favour, can you come in tomorrow, i will try to have your offer letter when we meet?". i went the next day and we discussed salary, benefits and start date, no letter as he didn't have time to prepare (since they have no current HR, he would have to do paperwork himself). He explained the org chart, resources, even offered to give me an offshore resource etc. he also told me : "between you and me, i didn't meet ant other candidate as you are most suitable". all seemed good, as i parted, he told me to look out for his email that day for offer letter along with other official documents on which he wanted me to start working. that was wednesday, today is friday and no news from them. should i be worried? how soon should i follow up? I'm currently unemployed and they know that i just started my search.
Search for new CEO
I'm not on the interview committee but have been here through four presidents in 10 years. Is there anything I can do to ensure we get a quality leader this time without being on the interview/search committee? The previous presidents have been mediocre at best (and very antiquated in their leadership skills--like Mad Men antiquated). I crave a leader who is humble, courageous, forward-thinking, personable, and fair. Is there such a thing and how do we find her?

Hi, currently I am in the Canada Express Entry pool under Federal Skilled Worker category and legally eligible for job search and work in Canada. I will be getting my PR immediately once I land there with a valid job offer in hand. All I need is a job offer. I am currently working in India and I don't need a sponsorship as getting a Visa by myself is easy, as am already in the pool. I have been applying for jobs through different Canadian job portals but getting rejected with reason-' currently Not residing in Canada'!!. I am willing to move to Canada ASAP. How do I get a job in Canada from India? Please help me with your suggestions.
