Hello everyone!
I am hoping to get some support/advice on law school. I have my undergraduate in sociology and political science. I currently work in government affairs as a lobbyist and policy analyst. Honestly, I have many roles including project management and social media/PR marketing because I work at a non-profit. I went into undergrad with full intentions on attending law school upon graduation but the more I was involved in policy work and legislation the less sure I was about that development path. I don't necessarily see myself practicing law, but my organizations wants someone who can understand legal matters and potentially review contracts. I work very closely with attorneys d2d and have learned a ton about the implementation and process of legal practices. If my path does not include practicing law but rather policy/data work, would law school still be a good option? Should I move toward a masters degree instead, or is that not even worth it anymore? TBH, everyone seems to say grad school is not worth the time/money for what you get out of it BUT every job posting and many leaders in the industry still believe it to be a necessary step. TIA for any guidance!
