MOMMY, ARE YOU HAPPY?
My son, Owen, is 3. They must be teaching feelings and emotions at preschool because lately he’s been asking me this question A LOT…
At first, I was caught off guard, but now each time he asks, “Mommy, are you happy?” it really makes me think. Most of the time my answer to him is, “Yes, I’m happy.” And I’m so grateful that it’s the truth.
For many working moms, however, they aren’t happy. They’re stuck in jobs that make them miserable. The happiest part of their day is getting to spend time with their kids (which often turns into sibling fights and meltdowns for no reason).
It hurts my heart and is why I try so hard to help moms get into fulfilling careers. In fact, when Owen asked me the other day what I do at work, I thought about how to answer in a way he would understand. And then I said, “I help other mommies be happy.”
In its simplest form that’s what I do. Can I help you be happy? Schedule some time with me here: https://bit.ly/freecareeradviceconsult
