It was like ? clockwork. Every 2 years or so I got the itch.
It wasn't that I hated what I was doing at work but I WANTED MORE. ?
While everyone else was just happy to be in a role they liked some of the time, I was longing for MEANING & FULFILLMENT in my career. ?
I found myself about 2 years into every role excitedly scouring those job boards ? to see what else was out there.
At the same time, I worried about family and friends thinking, "Didn't she just start this job? Why is she moving on ALREADY??"
?And then it ALL CHANGED.
I took the time to figure out what I was really meant to be doing in my life AND I started doing it?...EVEN WHEN I FELT SCARED AND LIKE NO ONE ELSE WOULD UNDERSTAND.
And, you know what...I haven't had that job change itch in a long time. And so many people in my life come to me desperate to transform their life through a job change as well.
? Here's what I've learned...
There are a lot of people that pride themselves at staying in a job for 5, 10, or even 20 years just to say they did. BUT what they don't realized is remaining STUCK in a job just because it's easier to not make a move will make you MISERABLE. ?
It's just not worth it and THERE IS ANOTHER WAY. I'm living proof. You can be, too. ?
Are you feeling that itch right now? Tell me about it.
