Remote work
Hi!
I'm a former Casting Associate and remote Talent Manager. I have great interview, recruiting, social media and research skills. I would love to find a remote position that utilizes my skills but so far have had no luck. My cover letter and resume look great and I've had them looked over. Maybe I'm applying to the wrong remote positions? Lol I'll take any advice. Let me know if you have any recommendations - it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much :)
Now I work for myself, and it's even much better than remote work. I have long wanted to start creating digital content and various products. To improve my business, increase income and find clients, I try to read articles like https://trible.com/blog/how-can-keywords-help-you-find-the-following-online-course-topic/ . These tips and tricks really help me.

One word: Networking.
If you are switching fields, the screening software (Applicant Tracking Systems or ATS), might not send it on to a human because you don't have the exact skill sets it was programmed to find. Even if you are going from casting/recruiting (I presume, for the entertainment industry) to recruiting for a different industry, you might not make it through the ATS.
Also, recruiters frequently specialize in an area where they have experience (engineers recruiting engineers, finance people recruiting finance people. Therefore, the agencies you are applying to might not feel that you are qualified to recruit in any field other than entertainment.
Networking can overcome that. People get to know, like, and trust you before seeing your credentials.
Also, there are very few, if any, regulations on recruiters. You could open your own business. It wouldn't take too many placements to make $40,000 a year.
Thank you so much for your reply! I really appreciate it. I've had my own business for entertainment industry in Los Angeles ( Dops, Directors, and production companies) but just wrapped up on my two best clients - I've found them long term jobs they are satisfied with.
I would like to utilize my skills and take what I've learned for and work for a company. Do you have any recommendations of what remote jobs I would be eligible for besides recruiting? As far as networking for a remote position where would I go to do that? Do you have any resources or websites that you know of? I have great interview skills and research skills. Thanks again! I'll take any advice and try anything to get a remote position.
Let's start with the most important question: What do you want to do next? Setting a goal and developing a plan are much easier once you know that.
I would love to have any remote position where I could interview, research, draft emails, or help people that pays okay. I thought recruiting would be the next step because it's similar to what I do as a Talent Manager.

What remote positions are you applying for? Have you looked into recruiting companies and talent acquisition roles at big employers?
I have applied to many talent acquisition roles, recruiting and talent manager but no luck. I'm looking for any remote job utilizing my interview, research and outreach skills that pays at least 40,000 annually. If you have any advice with recruitment agencies please let me know. I'm kind of lost there because I can't find any for 100% remote positions. I'll take any advice and help!
Thanks so much!
