Resume Comparison One resume is the original one I created, cropping out my address and email. The other is the one created by Leet Resume, redacting my address and email. Which do you prefer? https://photos.app.goo.gl/wZbeDHwcxowjdzKGA

Yes, I'm still in the purchasing position. I didn't notice they put the experience in past tense. I don't know that we've ever had multi-million dollar contracts; I think that volume would be beyond our capacity.

Your experience in your other current position is also past tense.

Thanks Cassandra, for reaching out. "Trusted" is the one word your boss should use to describe you that you chose. Combined with your targeted career goals - "Trusted Director of Purchasing" - it is a slightly flattering, effective advertisement to the people who will be reviewing your resume. They're looking to hire a Director of Purchasing; you're subtly letting them know that you're a trusted one; and hopefully that gets your resume into the "interview" pile. As a coach, you might know that people have a hard time tooting their own horn, so we've found this an effective means for getting resumes to have a positive, proactive approach that is effective with hiring managers and recruiters. Past tense for current role - it's a design choice that could go either way. From your audience's perspective, everything that you have done at your current employer is now, and hopefully soon will forever be, in the past. They are reading about what you have done, to understand better what you will do. So we choose to put everything in the past tense. If, for whatever reason, you'd prefer to have your current roles in present tense, that's absolutely fine. OK, hope that makes sense and thanks for choosing Leet! Best / Marc

Past tense implies you're no longer at that job. Putting "trusted" in that job title does not do what you resume writer implies. A resume should be a factual document, not an opinion piece. Saying you're a trusted whatever is subjective.
