What's the biggest hurdle?Hi and thank you for the suggestions. I have considered something like this but I got overwhelmed with the questions that come along with subcontracting, contracts, rates, payroll, etc. I wish there was more/steady work in this town so I could have consistent clients/$ and be able to have subcontractors.

Might be worth looking at agencies that partner with freelance creatives in long term ways, like the Edelmans of the world -- they might take you as a solo contributor. You could also partner with another freelancers and pitch as a package deal -- partnering doesn't have to be big and scary and full of legal mumbo-jumbo, I promise!

Edelman has been awesome with freelance (and rates). I like the partnering idea. I'll pursue that, as there are many of us who are "slow" at this time of year.
