Hello FBG'ers!
I am looking for some advice and/or contacts that can help me take the next steps in evaluating a career change.
Here is my situation:
I've been with a legal tech company as a Product Manager for 7+ years. I have multiple certifications as a Product Manager and generally enjoy the position. I am 30 years old and work remotely (which I thoroughly enjoy).
However, I would like a deeper understanding of other job positions, careers or industries that may suit my professional skills and personality more closely. I feel I have a lot to offer but I am unsure about what my next steps would be. Do I find another company where I can keep this same position? Do I explore another career altogether? I have taken countless career and personality assessments, leaving me with a ton of information but not a lot of clarity.
Essentially I am looking for someone who can help me navigate this phase of my professional life. Someone who can evaluate my personality and skills and provide me some guidance on careers and industries where I can thrive.
Any help would be so appreciated!

Hi Analisa,
I feel your pain. I remember taking personality test after personality test but never really quite understanding how to interpret and activate the data it was showing me.
I’d recommend creating a career criteria checklist where you basically create your ideal position and company description using the data you’ve sourced about yourself. Then from there brainstorm position titles and functions that interest you. Once you’ve done this, you can start to experiment/prototype these various career paths by talking to ppl in those jobs to determine feasibility for yourself.
