Women Working in Manufacturing

Where are manufacturing jobs?

Just curious, does anyone know where more manufacturing jobs are? Cities, suburbs, east coast, west coast, mid west, etc?

Texas definitely has a fair share of manufacturing jobs. What part of TX are you moving to? And what specifically in manufacturing are you looking to do?

Still undecided but thinking somewhere near Austin. I work in f&b/packaging now but open to switching

Influential Women in Manufacturing did a Discovery series webinar with Fairygodboss about manufacturing jobs. In it, they detailed how to get started looking for manufacturing jobs. I can try to grab the link for you :-) Meanwhile, one of the things that came up in the webinar was anywhere that companies make something, there are jobs. We're based out of Chicago and there is a huge manufacturing base here and throughout the midwest.

Definitely watch the webinar. Linda touches on great places to start when looking at or thinking about a manufacturing career. I put the question out to the Influential Women in Manufacturing social posts as well to see what that community has to say. Stay tuned!
