Roll Call! Welcome new and all members!
We are a little behind as I have been sick this week! But we have had 5 new members join in the past few days and many more in the last weeks!
Introduce yourself and let us know what type of role you are looking for. Also, there are many members who aren't new who we would still love to hear from- introduce yourself as well! It's still worth it to post, even if you do so anonymously as we can respond with an invitation to DM. Hello everyone! I've joined seeking a new job in branding/marketing within the nonprofit world. I realized that the thing that brings me the most happiness is giving back and helping to plan special events an initiatives. I've spent over 20 years volunteering here and there but want to make this a full time career. I've spent the last two months applying for jobs. I've not had much luck and have been feeling frustrated.

Hi, I am going to repeat some of what I said above. I really appreciate you sharing it helps me know what content to put in this group. Like the commenter above and so many others in this group, please know that it does not mean that you area not qualified! It's human nature to feel frustration and anxiety in this situation. I will be posting about my next free FGB webinar soon.
In the meantime, if you read through the other questions and comments in this group, you will see that you are not alone and I think some of the advice there will help. Please keep posting and let us know how we can help!

Hello, I joined as unemployed seeking to get back into an office environment that I have not been in for 16 years. I am seeking a work life balance at this point in my life.

Hi Kim, thanks so much for sharing. I am preparing content for this group and part of that will be for returners as many of my clients hire me for this reason. If you have specific requests about what kind of content you would like to see or specific questions as they come up, don't hesitate to post them!

Hi, I have joined seeking for a new opportunity in data science/analytics or business analytics! I am pivoting to a new career from a completely different, non-tech field. I have been applying for over a month now, but I have not had a single interview request or a recruiter reach out and have begun feeling the frustration and anxiety.

Thank you so much for sharing! I talk to so many people in this position and please know that it does not mean that you area not qualified! It's human nature to feel frustration and anxiety in this situation. I will be posting more content on how to handle this in the upcoming weeks, but I also have been asked to do another webinar here for FGB and it will be free. It is about what you can do other than apply directly. It will be on March 9th at 1:00pm Eastern and I will be posting the link as soon as we have finalized the details.
