I've been looking for a Bookkeeping job.
I did another online Bookkeeping course with an online, international company called Shaw Academy. Anyone else heard of them? I think they're based in Ireland. I'm still waiting for my last Diploma. I had a rocky experience with them. Anyway, even though I can get easily overwhelmed, I'm looking for a Bookkeeping job, but preferably not including Accounts Payable. I don't want to deal with Payroll, unless it's all done with software. (My second most-recent credentialed bookkeeping training was through LinkedIn, last August, in 2020.) So I'm asking for some advice. Should I look for an Accounts Receivable job or a Bookkeeping Assistant job?
Bookkeeping usually describes someone that can do most if not all parts of the accounting cycle. A/P, A/R and Payroll, plus additional items. Since you have said you don't want A/P or Payroll, I think you should just be looking for an A/R job. That being said, I would encourage you not to limit yourself so much at least in the beginning. We all have parts of our jobs that we love, love, love and parts that we're not so crazy about. As a bookkeeper the more you can do the opportunities you will have.
