The thing that makes me skeptical about the way you describe these offers is that having access to secret listing wouldn't really be helpful. Without some sort of personal connection to the hiring manager, this most likely doesn't have much value. That isn't so say if there is someone out there with a paid service, it isn't valuable, but exclusive listings in itself most likely isn't worth paying for.

Do you have any thoughts on some of these paid services that claim to connect you with a headhunter who can introduce you to opportunities that are "exclusive" or "pocket listings"? I see ads (and receive emails for) these services, but I'm unsure if there's any benefit to signing up.
