HR Terminology?

Hi! I'm interviewing for a position with a company that provides software to support various HR functions (payroll, time tracking, legal compliance, etc.). My position won't be in the HR department, but I'd like to begin learning a few of the basic terms and acronyms that non-HR people might not be familiar with. So if you have a good starting place for terminology or an introduction to the core issues that face HR, I'd appreciate it.

Have you heard of the Society for Human Resources Management (also known as SHRM)? They have a ton of open + free resources but in particular, I found they have an HR glossary that might be helpful to you: https://www.shrm.org/ResourcesAndTools/tools-and-samples/HR-Glossary/Pages/default.aspx Good luck!
