Offer Letter generation: Who handles generating offer letters on your team?
Is it someone in HR or recruiting? I ask because every company I have worked at so far the offer letter is generated by someone in HR and then the recruiter gets it and sends it out.
At my current company the recruiters have been the ones to send out offer letters for the jobs that they are working on. HR sends out any other offer letter.
Now HR wants to have all Offer Letters generated by the 3 person recruiting team. We do not have any coordinators on our team, everyone is a recruiter. We are a 500+ person company.
I spent the last year as a recruiter for a small company, I generated all the offer letters, it was probably easier than trying to explain to my former HR director what was needed.
At every company I have worked for the recruiter generated the offer letters.
Wondering the benefit or value added of a 3rd party. What is the why behind that? Does each new hire need an offer letter and how many people do you hire with only a 500+ person company. I work for a 36,000 US + global company and not all positions need them. BUT we have an ATS system that will generate those offer letters after setting up templates, which makes it easier that is populated there and on their profile. Good luck.
