PepsiCo Life Sciences is central to the Company's future and instrumental in innovation, communications, and strategic partnerships. This role will support the exciting and growing initiative of personalization and lead the Advanced Personalization Ideation (API) Center team. The API Center functions similar to a learning lab or start-up with the mission to deliver actionable and eventually profitable personalized solutions to improve the wellness of our consumers and employees, in a way that is fun and engaging.
In addition to leading the API team, this role will primarily be responsible for the strategic direction of current and new projects and ensuring business viability and success of these initiatives. This will include the evolution of pilots to scalable projects as well as the ideation of new areas of personalization for PepsiCo. This role is expected to deliver thoughtful recommendations for new ideas/concepts based on technology trends and ecosystem activity relevant to PepsiCo's business needs. The scope is across PepsiCo categories covering beverages and foods opportunities as well as new business models. This role is expected to work across various teams within and outside of PepsiCo to manage the project flow, timelines, and communicate any issues to the broader Life Sciences Living Lab's team.
The successful candidate will be based in one of PepsiCo's R&D locations, report to the Sr Director of the Life Sciences Living Lab and be part of the global Life Sciences organization with more than 100 people.
Responsibilities
Deliver innovative personalized solutions to drive sustainable and profitable growth for the company.
Develop and execute the strategy and project plans for the API Center, inclusive of timelines and milestones for short, medium and long-term deliverables and managing Center's budget and resources.
Bring strategic and new ways of thinking and working to enable white space opportunities and design of rapid prototyping to help pioneer the personalization space
Advance the translation of science and technology with sound consumer insights to enable differentiated business opportunities in personalization; these may include (but not limited to) clinically relevant solutions to improve the wellness of our consumers.
Network internally to influence highly matrixed teams, garner support for API Center initiatives and foster communication and sharing of best practices around the globe and across multiple teams.
Build and manage a collaborative and connected network of external partners to drive personalization initiatives, including industry, start-ups, and academic institutions
Lead external innovation engagements with strategic partners
Evaluate and evolve key API Center priorities based on trends and shifts in business needs, inclusive of reallocating funds and capability focus.
Percent Travel: Some travel required (~1-2 days/month)
Compensation and Benefits:
The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800.
Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.
Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
Master of Business (MBA or MBS) is preferred
Minimum BS/BA in Life Sciences, Data Insights and Analytics, Consumer Insights, Marketing, Business, Statistics or related field
9 years experience in CPG or similar field, start-up experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to translate science/ technology to drive business growth
Solid analytical and critical thinking skills
Highly effective organization, negotiation, coordination, and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in matrixed organization
Ability to lead a multi- faceted and cross-functional team
Ability to leverage and use data analytics
Strong Business acumen and ability to manage upward to C-suite
Finance and Accounting understanding
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility and ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds, personalities, and work styles across various levels of the organization.
Use scientific and technical expertise to identify and evaluate trends/ innovations
Proven communication skills with a strong ability to translate technical jargon for non-technical audiences
