    Position summary

    What you'll do in this role:

    As a Maintenance Engineering Coordinator, you will ensure all maintenance work is coordinated on a weekly basis across all shifts in maintenance. This will be done through SAP, and it is your responsibility to work closely with the Maintenance Engineering Sr Coordinator, Maintenance Supervisor/Manager, to schedule the assigned work to the mechanics.

    Creating maintenance schedules (via Microsoft Excel/Teams) and generating work orders (SAP) Planning and scheduling corrective and preventative maintenance activities by task and priority level.

    Maintaining parts inventory: Managing spare parts (accurate inventory) and ensuring alignment between the maintenance department and stock room to have the necessary resources available for maintenance tasks; conducting monthly and quarterly cycle counts ensuring all parts are input into SAP.

    Creating processes/standard operating manuals: Developing SOPs and OPLs (one-point-lessons) that explain how to perform specific maintenance tasks, aiding in standardizing procedures and ensuring consistency in maintenance practices across the department.

    Estimating costs: Estimating the cost of labor and parts required for industrial equipment, helping in budgeting and resource allocation. This position must be able to manage a budget for a department if necessary.

    Adjusting schedules: adapting daily work schedules to accommodate emergency work or changes in priorities (nights/off shift work), ensuring flexibility in the maintenance plan.

    Supporting the Maintenance Leadership Team: Assisting the maintenance leaders in various tasks related to planning, coordination, and execution of maintenance activities. May need to support the lines for production needs as a mechanic or operator (running machine centers).

    Serving as liaison: Acting as a bridge between the maintenance department and operations, facilitating functions within the organization.

    Maintenance records: Keeping accurate records and files essential for effective maintenance management, including work orders, documentation, and asset information.

    Coordinating with contractors/OEMs/outside vendors: Collaborating with maintenance staff, contractors, and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of maintenance tasks and procurement of necessary resources.

    Preparing preventative maintenance plans (PMs): Developing preventative maintenance plans aligned with the organization's goals to enhance equipment reliability and longevity.

    In effect, a maintenance planner plays a critical role in optimizing maintenance operations, ensuring efficient utilization of resources, minimizing downtime, and extending the life cycle of assets through effective planning, coordination, and communication within the organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Keep track of mechanic's kronos vs SAP labor utilization

    • Scheduling down day work for mechanics; via excel and gantt chart

    • Scheduling weekly PM's (Preventative maintenance tasks) and work orders to mechanics and tracking completion rates

    • Reporting on part utilization weekly

    • Reporting weekly completion rate of pm's for all mechanics and tracking via excel/SAP

    • Working closely with parts coordinator on kitting and assigning work

    • Floor support when needed; acting as mechanic or operator on floor all day

    • Sending out end-of-shift reports via Microsoft outlook on day-to-day basis;

    • This role is on-site

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • The expected compensation range for this position is between $33,300 - $52,000 based on a full-time schedule.

    • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.

    • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma required (college degree preferred)

    • SAP knowledge for scheduling

    • Ability to work rotating schedule; potentially night shift

    • Ability to detail plan and schedule internal resources and contractors necessary to complete the required work

    • Able to define and articulate plans and scope; schedule, set goals, determine priorities, and meet target dates

    • Ability to get along with all groups of people to drive results

    • Microsoft Suite including Excel comprehension needed

    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others, effective coaching, leading a team-based approach to decision-making

    • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States

    • Must have a valid driver's license

    • Safe driving record strongly preferred

    • Willingness to drive a forklift or work around heavy machinery
