Responsibilities
The Opportunity
As an R&D Technician, your responsibilities would include:
Provide operational support for Research and Development product development teams.
Working in the Process Lab or at the Technology Process Center, operate a variety of food processing equipment.
Contribute knowledge and expertise to the development process by working closely with the product development team.
Work effectively in a team environment.
Work within a team environment to meet performance goals.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Partner with R&D engineers and food scientists to deliver exceptional development operational support.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Initiate ideas and solutions to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
Actively participate in all team continuous improvement training and skill development activities.
Work with limited supervision to complete both assigned and self-identified tasks.
Manage required compliance programs - Safety, Food Safety, Environmental.
Compensation and Benefits:
The expected compensation range for this position is between $45,000 - $71,800.
Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
HS Diploma or GED
3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing/production environment or in an R&D testing center, preferably in the food industry.
Ability to solve daily operational issues.
Flexible - willingness to work off-shifts and weekends. Willingness to flex between work sites (Plano Process Lab and Dallas Technology Process Center).
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
Basic mathematical and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with food processing equipment, production, and/or test systems.
Experience working in a team environment.
