    Position summary

    resents a transformation of Shopper Insights, Shopper Marketing, Category Leadership and Space resources supporting Sales and Marketing plans across the PepsiCo portfolio. This approach allows us to build best-in-class capabilities, develop deep functional expertise, and offer focused programs to drive growth with our customers.

    As a Senior Category Manager within North America Insights & Intelligence (NAII), you have an opportunity to make an immediate impact in an evolving snacking category landscape. You will lead the insights agenda with Strategic Retail Partners for the Frito Lay West Region. The primary objectives of this role are to drive accelerated growth, market share gains, and elevated customer partnership through the development of actionable Category and Shopper Insights. This person must sit in California.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead category management and insights initiatives for Snacking Categories with Strategic Retailers.

    • Develop advantaged category and shopper insights in support of Frito Lay's internal and external Joint Business Planning processes.

    • Lead the strategic shelf review process with select retail buying and merchandising teams.

    • Collaborate with cross functional teams (Sales, Insights, Space Optimization, Marketing) to create customized solutions that accelerate growth for your accounts.

    • Conduct detailed category decompositions to identify key problems to solve for opportunities of growth while driving insights to action.

    • Develop fact based selling stories leveraging syndicated data sources, PepsiCo's proprietary suite of insights tools and all available selling materials.

    • Produce post promotion analysis on major customer programs and other key initiatives to drive increased effectiveness of future events.

    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with Retailer Buying and Merchandising Teams through frequent contact, delivering actionable objective insights.

    • Lead and develop one direct report.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    • The expected compensation range for this position is between $118,700 - $198,800.

    • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.

    • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out annually.

    • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required, MBA degree a plus.

    • 5+ years of Category Management / Insights within the consumer packages goods industry.

    • 5+ years' experience in analyzing and interpreting data translating insights to action.

    • Advanced knowledge and application of shopper data and analytics.

    • Strong collaboration skills; experience working in a matrix environment with cross-functional partners as well as retailers directly.

    • Strong communication and presentation skills; the ability to interact confidently and effectively with team members, management and the customer.

    • Strong planning and organization skills; the ability to set an agenda and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously for a team.

    • Advanced technical skills including Circana, Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint; database management a plus.

    • Strong passion for developing others with prior people leadership experience preferred.

    • Must be willing and able to travel 15-20% of the time.
