    Position summary

    LITIES**

    • Responsible for developing and defining process equipment scope and technology in support of projects and programs across PepsiCo Foods North America.

    • Develop process equipment specifications, and conduct process validation activities such as modeling, mass balance, and testing with external suppliers and consultants.

    • Execute pilot scope for commercialization including the development of IP, safety, quality, operational and performance metrics, and influence capital and schedule requirements.

    • Lead equipment start-up and validate process equipment during Factory Inspection Tests, Engineering Test Runs and Commissioning for new projects.

    • Perform basic economic evaluations on new processes and estimate the potential business value.

    • Troubleshoot problems with snack food production and pilot test equipment.

    • Evaluate snack food process equipment and design solutions that balance competing requirements for optimal performance, maintenance & sanitation access, cleanability, and safety.

    • Works independently to apply advanced engineering techniques and analysis to business needs.

    • Assists in the development and update of disciplined standards and procedures.

    • Develops innovative and cost competitive solutions to complex problems.

    • Develops training material and conducts technical seminars to improve team member technical and project management knowledge and capability.

    • Actively participates in, promotes, and maximizes the use of the FLNA Community and other available resources.

    • Provides input for strategic decisions in areas of expertise and proactively identifies areas of risk and develops solutions to ensure results.

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • As part of a team, Process Engineering Technical Leader will partner with other functions (Field Operations, Manufacturing COE/MOS, SCTE Manufacturing Project Managers, Asset Strategy, R&D, etc.) to provide detailed technical input to the project teams to ensure that the process solutions deliver quality, productivity, and service metrics.

    • Is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Process operations and equipment.

    • Keeps up to date on industry developments and applies new equipment/solutions to support FLNA business needs.

    • Supports project team activities in the design, installation, and startup phases of projects in execution.

    • Evaluate and maintain Process Engineering Standards.

    • Review project drawings to ensure consistency and adherence to standards.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • The expected compensation range for this position is between $72,500 - $121,300 based on a full-time schedule.

    • Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.

    • Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.

    • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

    Qualifications

    • Excellent communicative skills.

    • High level of collaboration and influence skills.

    • Strong technical experience and knowledge of process fundamentals and core platforms.

    • Ability to manage extreme complexity and multiple workstreams.

    • Established creative thinker and an expert in the commercialization of aligned strategies.

    • BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.

    • Familiar with FSMA and sanitary design principles.

    • Ability to read P&IDs, equipment & process line layout & elevation drawings, read & write equipment performance specifications.

    • Minimum 5 years in an engineer related role. Process engineering in consumer products preferred.

    • Technical curiosity with a desire to continuously learn.

    • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented culture.

    • Ability to travel up to 30%-50% of the time.
