    Job Summary:

    The Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Configuration Management (CM) organization provides a unique system level vantage point of not just engine architecture, but also of how the major business units across Pratt & Whitney feed data to deliver product and how our product are used and maintained. Our organization is looking for a highly motivated individual willing to learn the intricate details of the LCC and CM Discipline. As a Configuration Analyst, you will perform a variety of functions including writing and processing engineering changes, creating and maintaining bills of material and providing business process consult to other organizations. As a LCC Analyst, you will participate in proposals and trade studies, forecast the cost impact of changes to engine configuration and maintenance strategies to our military customers, and establish engine maintenance metrics.

    Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Working closely with our key internal and military customers: Design Integration, IPTs, CIPTs and the Engine Center to support the activities of the Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and the engineering change process. For Life Cycle Cost, you will coordinate with military customers to establish ground rules, perform Cost Effectiveness Analyses (CEAs) for changes, and present results to both military and internal customers.

    • Support the initiatives of the LCC & CM departments and ED&SI to maintain CORE.

    • Be an individual driver of process improvement efforts to increase LCC & CM efficiency and reduce CM turn-time.

    • English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English

    • Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor degree in Engineering with 5 years of experience in engineering or business or an advanced degree in Engineering with 3 years of experience in engineering or business.

    • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

    • Travel is up to 10%

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 2 years of experience with CM procedures, the IPD process and the engineering change process

    • 1 year in Teamcenter, Business Objects, SAP and product definition tools

    • 3 years of knowledge of cost accounting, aerospace, manufacturing processes

    • Completed CORE apprentice level
