    Position summary

    entry preparation, and other efforts to prepare for our 2024 external financial statement audit; (2) supporting several system implementations by participating in process design, testing, and training; and (3) process and control alignment across the enterprise. Once these systems are established, this role will play a crucial role to ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective management of our accounting processes. This role requires adaptable capacity to develop effective professional relationships within the broader finance organization.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Collaborate with ERP (Costpoint), payroll (ADP), and travel & expense (Chrome River) system implementation teams.

    Prepare, analyze, and review account reconciliations; propose resolution options to identified discrepancies.

    Execute general ledger activities to support monthly accounting close processes, including preparing general ledger journal entries for submission and posting; Maintain accounting records, files, and documents per company policy.

    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information.

    Support project account set up or maintenance processes, as required.

    Apply conceptual knowledge, prior experience, general awareness, and initiative to isolate and resolve issues.

    Participate in the development, implementation, and administration of accounting controls and policies supportive of an appropriately robust internal control environment aligned with business requirements.

    Support audit activities, both internal and external, by providing necessary documentation and information.

    Required Skills:

    Five (5) years of related professional experience with a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance OR three (3) years of experience with an advanced degree in related field.

    Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills are vital to this role, as is the demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.

    Costpoint experience

    Thorough knowledge of US GAAP.

    Experience with large-scale ERP systems; Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

    Desired Skills:

    Costpoint knowledge and practical experience

    Experience within the government contracting industry

    Active CPA license or desire to pursue CPA/CMA certification

    Typically requires:

    A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

    The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
