Senior Embedded Software Engineer - C++

a unique engineer to enhance the sustainability of our current radar products. The ideal candidate will have experience in legacy radar hardware and software technologies, with an interest and ability to transition these products to current technologies while maintaining and troubleshooting and patching our deployed systems.

What Will You Do:

• Lead sustainment of legacy radar systems, to involve troubleshooting, maintenance, and patching.

• Port legacy Unix tools to modern Linux or identify replacements.

• Support software integration, testing, and verification.

• Assist in proposal writing.

• Occasional travel to other Massachusetts locations.

• This role will be 100% on-site and based in Marlborough, MA.

• This position is for 1st Shift.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 5 years' of prior work experience OR an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' of prior work experience.

• Embedded C and/or Ada software development experience.

• Experience with FPGA development.

• Experience developing on VxWorks and Linux/Unix platforms.

• Experience working with VMEbus-based systems.

• Radar domain experience.

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience using a VMEbus analyzer.

• Experience using version control systems.

• Experience developing in C++.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
