Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, in Fairfield, CA, is seeking a Sr. Manager for Systems Engineering responsible for developing new energetic products, adaptive engineering of existing energetic product lines, sustaining current energetic product lines, and providing requirements support within the Propulsions site. The Systems Engineering Manager will be involved in all phases of the product life, including proposal preparation, brainstorming sessions, design, supplier support, manufacturing support, non-conforming material analysis, qualification testing, failure investigations, and sustaining activities.

Primary Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the systems requirements engineering team, providing guidance and mentorship to the team members
Define and document systems requirements for mechanical and propulsion products, ensuring alignment with program needs and objectives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical design, chemistry, materials, manufacturing test, program management, quality, and operations
Facilitate requirements workshops and review with stakeholders to gather, validate, and prioritize requirements
Manage requirement changes and traceability throughout the project lifecycle
Develop and maintain requirements management tools and methodologies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in systems engineering and requirements management
Accountable for meeting program goals including cost and schedule
Responsible for capturing lessons learned and implementing corrective actions
Support Pursuit & Order capture activities including bidding & estimation efforts for new programs
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience OR In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
Must be a U.S. citizen
Required Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of system engineering processes and requirement management tools (e.g. Jama)
Proven experience in defining and managing complex mechanical and/or energetic system requirements for multidisciplinary teams
Strong experience with Engineering management in a matrix organization
Significant experience in Aerospace Systems and/or Propulsion Systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with development for DoD customers
Experience with Earned Value Management
Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira)
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and champions MSBE best practices
Professional certification in systems engineering (e.g. INCOSE CSEP)

The salary range for this role is 130,000 USD - 272,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
