In this role, the candidate will provide engineering support for the implementation of a portion of the program's systems engineering. To succeed in this role, you must have systems engineering development lifecycle experience using an Agile methodology.

What You Will Do
Collaborate with the Raytheon systems engineering teams to design and develop software
Assist in providing technical information and clarification during the entire software development lifecyle; from conceptualization and design to development, testing, deployment, and operations.
Perform solution decomposition from customer epics, to capabilities, to features, to stories according to SAFe Agile practices
Apply systems engineering expertise to feature designs to reduce overall risk to the software development effort
Engage with customer user representatives or subject matter experts to gather user needs and incorporate into the feature designs for the agile development teams
Engage with SMEs from other disciplines to fully understand the solution and document the designs.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
Experience in agile software development activities, including system level design specification and integration test and verification activities (full SE life-cycle)
Experience working in an Agile development team environment with multi-discipline engineers and stake holders, developing system solutions to meet customer requirements, requirements decomposition, and experience with CONOPS development
Experience addressing solution definition, decomposition, design and acceptance criteria
Experience working in the software development Lifecyle
An active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Demonstrated system engineering and technical experience with software systems development
Experience performing design activities with cross-disciplined engineering teams
Experience interacting across multiple engineering disciplines, including both programmatic and technical
SIGINT, GEOINT, or Multi-INT Intelligence Community (IC) background with end user mission experience
Experience in a technical role of a large multi-disciplined engineering team
Experience with cloud-based S/W architectures and systems is a plus
Experience developing MBSE and DoDAF artifacts
Background and experience successfully working with all levels of engineering development in large government software development programs as well as an individual contributor as part of an agile development team
Engineering experience working in the full software development lifecycle using Agile methodology that ensures high quality software is built and released to end-users quickly and within cost and schedule parameters
Experience using Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.), and evaluation of requirements decomposition, system architecture and system design
Experience using MBSE processes and tools to capture systems design and elaboration in Cameo or similar tool
Experience in Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and/or micro-service based systems

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
