    Responsibilities

    • Develops and presents to senior management well-thought-out recommendations and strategies to improve and innovate company benefits, taking into consideration benefits utilization, participant satisfaction, benchmarking, union proposals, legal and regulatory developments, and administrative, communication, and cost concerns

    • Manages third-party recordkeepers and other vendors to promote effective benefits delivery, including implementing plan design changes, resolving operational issues, overseeing reporting, SLAs and scorecard evaluations, preparing an annual budget, and leading RFP processes

    • Leads, develops and implements effective communication strategies that drive engagement and educate employees and retirees about company benefits, and provides expert guidance and support to participants and management on benefits-related inquiries and issues

    • Manages team of employees to deliver strong performance; establishes performance expectations; trains and develops team by providing timely recognition, feedback, coaching, and support; assists with problem solving and guidance; allocates resources effectively to equitably distribute the workload while also identifying appropriate skill levels and talents; supports a safe work environment

    • Manages the budgeting and funding of benefits plans and programs, including the payment approval process and overall governance

    • Collaborates with cross-functional teams on benefits design and administration, and conducts regular audits and assessments

    • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Seven or more years of experience managing/supervising a team of direct reports and/or project management.

    • Ten or more years of experience in the employee benefits field with progressive responsibility administering or otherwise supporting health and welfare plans and retirement plans

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of experience with benefit plan administration, with demonstrated expertise with health & welfare plans and demonstrated expertise or significant knowledge of 401(k), retirement and employee stock purchase plans.

    • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation

    Additional Information

    • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
