Providing both technical leadership and hands-on efforts related to fixing and resolving highly complex system issues.
Working with the business clients to understand their requirements and ongoing strategy to provide technical solutions for meeting their short-term and long-term business goals.
Ensuring maintenance and support activities follow IT processes and adhere to our SLAs.
Providing phone and occasional on-site technical support related to troubleshooting and resolving moderate to highly complex system issues. OMS is supported 24/7/365 through after-hours on-call rotation.
Working on project technical tasks as assigned.
The essentials
Seven (7) or more years of relevant IT or Engineering experience supporting complex IT systems.
Must have proficient analytical skills to solve complex problems related to real-time systems.
Five (5) or more years of experience building and executing shell scripts and Python.
The preferred
C#, .NET, Java development experience
Proficient with SQL queries and reporting tools and platforms.
Two-year experience working with and/or supporting an electric utility OMS
Demonstrated knowledge of Transmission and Distribution networks and/or experience with Distribution Management Systems (DMS)
Strong coordination and communication skills to support working with multi-functional teams and vendors to achieve success in planned maintenance activities
Experience supporting Windows applications using Oracle or other database.
You should know
This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.

The primary work location for this position is Santa Ana, CA.
Position will require up to 5% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
This position has an option for a 9/80 Alternate Work Schedule.
