Review and approve or reject outage requests based upon our forecast needs and available resources.
Manage Planned & Forced Outages for contracted resources using OMS and Versify.
Coordinate Unit Testing.
Share outage position and manage outage strategy for Resource Adequacy requirements.
Manage all Planned Outage Substitution Obligations.
Keep up to date with ISO rules and regulations related to outage management and Resource Adequacy requirements including substitution.
Generate reports to management and regulators to communicate resource outages and their impacts on system reliability.
The essentials
Five (5) or more years of professional coordination and reporting experience.
Three (3) or more years of experience in functions related to wholesale energy markets, resource outages or plant operations.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
The preferred
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience.
Three (3) or more years of experience with outage management in wholesale power markets.
Experience with ISO Outage Management System (OMS) or Versify outage management system.
Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiating skills
Self-driven and able to work well in a team environment
You should know
This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
