Prepares and delivers accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates
Upholds compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
Assists with audits by providing records and documentation to auditors
Deploys suggested updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures
Organizes and gathers payroll data such as hours worked, sales or piecework, taxes, insurance, union dues to be withheld, and employee identification numbers, from time sheets and other records
Assists the Finance team in the preparation of GL reports and answering payroll questions about salary/tax/deduction
Carries out processing, data entry, validation, reconciliation, and auditing for payrolls using SAP/Payroll systems
Assists with opportunities to improve the payroll process and acts proactively to help resolve escalations
Reviews and processes employee expense reports, including processing manual check and direct deposit payments
A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.
Minimum Qualifications
Three or more years of experience in accounting or payroll.
Preferred Qualifications
Proficient with Microsoft Excel performing functions such as VLOOKUPu2019s, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, charts and graphing.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and laws.
Experience using Success Factors, SAP and/or other similar enterprise-wide software.
Experience developing and delivering technical presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong ethics and the ability to manage multiple projects and engage in continuous learning.

Additional Information
This positionu2019s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.u202f Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.u202f Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
