    Responsibilities

    • Contact and communicate with multiple individuals including Customers, local city government officials and employees, environmental agency officials and employees, along with SCE Foreman, Planners, Schedulers, and Supervisors.

    • Ensure crew has all required resources such as equipment, material, and access to jobsite.

    • Develop execution strategy, and job coordination to completion.

    • Ensure work scheduling is optimized to minimize costs and delays. Ensure work orders are executable and meet customer needs.

    • Conduct constructability reviews, outage/ switching plans, order materials, and track progress of permits and civil work.

    • Ensure site readiness, may make recommendations to E-Crew Foreman on work order execution plans, and tailboards for potential safety hazards.

    • Perform job walks.

    • Apply the most up-to-date construction processes, (including: Distribution design standards, Electrical Service Requirements, Construction/Maintenance Standards and GO 95 and 128 regulations.)

    • Facilitating feedback to support groups/orgs regarding construction delays or constructability issues.

    • Responsible for organizing work, making sound decisions, and developing and implementing strategies to complete work on time and in the most productive and cost-efficient manner possible.

    • Makes recommendations to Supervisor and directs crews in order to maximize crew productivity and cost efficiency by programming clearances on electrical lines for SCE and Contract resources.

    • Combines field experience of construction methods and a thorough understanding of productivity calculation to recommend manpower required to complete each job.

    • Applies solid understanding of the impact of fatigue, premium time, and resource allocation to work unit performance.

    • Ensures the work order is executable and meets customer needs.

    • Ensures all designs comply with design and construction standards.

    • Participates as a key team member during execution of large projects by ensuring optimal efficiency by visiting jobsite during construction to explore opportunities for improvement with Foreman.

    • Maintains thorough knowledge and understanding of updated processes, equipment, design and construction standards, and environmental and health regulations.

    • Applies unique blend of technical knowledge and field experience to manage cost efficiency among crews.

    • Available for on-call duty during a storm for damage assessment, a work assignment coordinator, and/or to support the crews as needed.

    • Performs other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Three or more years of experience in an electric utility performing or supervising in planning, design, construction, maintenance, standards & development, system operations, field operations, engineering or construction project management.

    • Experience and knowledge of updated processes, equipment, design and construction standards, and environmental and health regulations.

    • Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience as a Journeyman Lineman, Journeyman Cable Splicer, Troubleman, Senior Patrolman and/or Equipment Operator.

    • Experience with construction processes, including: Distribution Design standards, Electrical Service Requirements, Construction/ Maintenance Standards, and GO95 and GO128 regulations.

    • Experience with client/ customer management providing exceptional customer service, customer satisfaction, building relationships with customers, identifying customer needs, and responding to customer issues.

    • Experience with field design and construction standards.

    • Experience with Project Management or Project Support, analytical, and administrative skills.

    • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).

    • Experience with SAP.

    • Experience with SCE's GCC outage request process/ system.

    • Experience with the application of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and the handling of labor relations and diversity issues

    Additional Information

    • This position's work mode is on-site. The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
