    Position summary

    ms, managing the day-to-day regulatory activities such as developing filings, sending project communications and responding to data requests.

    • Prepare meeting agendas, presentations and notes; schedule and facilitate meetings with internal collaborators and external parties; and maintain action item logs.

    • Provide strategic recommendations and highlight risk to support SCE project development and execution.

    • Review past applications, decisions and advice letters on various regulatory issues.

    • Prepare recurring regulatory reporting (both internal and external).

    • Contribute to the preparation of infrastructure licensing applications.

    • Draft advice letters related to SCE infrastructure projects as well as finalize and file advice letters required for other SCE regulatory proceedings.

    • Facilitate and contribute to SCE licensing policy development. Identify key issues, propose solutions, and collaborate with key contributors to develop and refine policy positions.

    • Lead internal communication related to licensing regulatory proceedings.

    • Support engagement with external collaborators at the CPUC and other organizations.

    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal organizations and external regulatory agencies.

    The essentials

    • Seven or more years of experience in utility, government, urban planning, public policy or other related field.

    • Strong project management skills, written work product, and critical thinking.

    • Strong command of PowerPoint to edit and create effective presentations.

    • Ability to understand and explain difficult or technical concepts in written work product and in a way that non-technical audiences will be able to understand SCE's positions.

    • Strong ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting and with people of varying personalities, background, expertise, and objectives.

    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and due dates.

    The preferred

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in government, public policy, urban planning, environmental studies/ science, economics, energy, or a related field.

    • Experienced project manager; comfortable developing scope, schedule and results in a timely and effective manner.

    • Experience working with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) or other state and federal agencies (e.g., California Energy Commission, Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, California State Parks, etc.).

    • Experience with CEQA/ NEPA and obtaining regulatory permits for a variety of development projects.

    • Ability to track and manage large volumes of data and documents in a referable and accessible/filterable format.

    • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners, cross-functional project teams, peers, all levels of managements, and external collaborators.

    • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
