    Position summary

    y with engineers, you'll help plan, organize, and complete field surveys to ensure project and cost objectives are met. Your responsibilities will include drafting land plans by recording, calculating, and plotting data into the required formats, conducting topographic and boundary surveys, and processing field data. You'll also prepare detailed survey maps, exhibits, and legal descriptions, while supporting permitting and design efforts. Using CAD/GIS and related software, you'll process and analyze survey data, review it for accuracy and compliance with standards, and coordinate with internal teams to support project planning and execution. Additionally, you'll provide technical support and guidance to entry-level land surveyors, assisting with the resolution of minor field or data issues.

    Responsibilities

    • Conducts topographic and boundary surveys, and processes field data.

    • Prepares detailed survey maps, exhibits, and legal descriptions.

    • Supports permitting or design efforts.

    • Processes and analyzes survey data using CAD/GIS and related software.

    • Reviews data for accuracy and compliance with standards.

    • Coordinates with internal teams to support project planning and execution.

    • Provides technical support and guidance to entry level land surveyors by assisting with resolution of minor field or data issues.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Two or more years of experience performing survey data processing, preparing legal descriptions and maps, and using CAD/GIS tools.

    • Knowledge of land use regulations and internal standards for deliverables.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, and Trimble Business Center.

    • Experience and thorough skills in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint and OneDrive.

    • Experience with processing scan data and modeling from point clouds.

    • Experience reading and interpreting engineering plans and construction documents.

    • Experience in land boundary and knowledge of U.S. Public Land Survey System.

    • Experience in researching recorded documents and maps.

    Additional Information

    • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
