"I want a company with a good culture."

I hear that a lot in my line of work because the parents I work with are thinking about job fulfillment AND flexibility. But whenever they say "good culture" I do a Zach Morris timeout. Relocated for a job but no work-life balance. What would you do?

I agree that this question is oddly phrased. It might also be a flag for work-life balance at that company, or it might just be poorly phrased. I agree with asking them to rephrase it and answering it honestly.

What do you do during your day to give yourself one minute of calm?

I'm taking an amazing class from Jackie Ghedine and Mimi Rogers at The Resting Mind, and in this week's class on Work-Life Balance, Jackie made some great suggestions for finding small moments for yourself each day. I wrote them all down and dressed this one up a bit! What are yours?

Just taking this space to share a frustration.

Hi Everyone, There's been lots of buzz around work/life balance, and employers being more conscious about the employee experience, and human element of a job.

Should one remain in their current industry and strive for further growth or should one take a modest reduction in salary in order to obtain a work/life balance?

How do you manage health issues while maintaining a healthy marriage and work/life balance?
