Congratulations! They cannot ask about you being pregnant. I was 7 months pregnant when hired, and I was the one to mention it in my interview. You can ask for details on the benefits, but many employers do not give you maternity leave until one year of employment. You may have to burn through vacation days and/or FMLA (reduced/no pay) for your leave.

Recently my daughter went to HR to file paperwork for maternity leave - all was handled correctly until...they stated to her that she would be responsible for her part of the insurance while out on leave - that part was fine but then they stated that if she did not return after the leave she would be responsible to pay back the company the money they paid for insurance while she was out.

I really could use some advice before the stress of it all takes its toll on me any further and apologies in advance because its a long read, but I needed to provide context.

I’m currently in an ongoing lawsuit with my ex employer for pregnancy discrimination, harassment, and the loss of my job and benefits.
