  • "While Textron is trying to position itself to be a diverse employer of choice, many "old school" ways of thinking still remain strong, and some of the business units (sites) are still very "boys-club". Textron still operates with the 8-5 mindset and doesn't really allow any work-from-home scenarios or one-off approvals for ammended schedules. Some business units are beginning to offer 9/80 scheduling (7-5 M-Th, 7-3:30 F #1, off second F), but that still does not assist women with children. As yes, they do have the opportunity to save a day in daycare fees, but now must find a daycare which opens earlier so that both parents can share drop-off responsibilities. " - vnco2018
