April means Aries and Taurus season, a new moon, a full moon and three planets in retrograde. While that sounds chaotic, this period of early spring actually means spirited organization for most of the signs. Read more to see what April has in store for your career.

Aries:  March 21 to April 19

Aries, you’re in for a killer career month. The sun in Aries will bring you a sense of passion and purpose until April 20, especially following the Aries new moon’s arrival on April 5th. Any thinking that surrounds your job will come easy to you, and you will find a new happiness in even the most boring tasks of your career. This is the perfect time to put your head down and dig in, whether that means analyzing your latest accomplishments, putting numbers to that raise you’re going to ask for or super spellchecking your resume.
At the same time, April embolden you to do some soul searching. Retrograde “high season” begins this month as Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn all make their backspins through the sky. They’re all flying through your ninth house of travel, learning and entrepreneurship, encouraging you to expand your career horizons and rethink how you’re currently living your professional life. Just be sure to be discerning as you take risks; a bold Aries can come across quite harshly.
Later in the month, the sun will enter Taurus and your productive and profitable second house. This is perfect for Aries everywhere, as innovator Uranus will meet the sun on April 22, bringing a stroke of genius. Between your bold thoughts and your detailed actions, the month of April is bound to bring change. You’ll also have no issue celebrating your birthday (as Aries do). Prepare for a fun but productive period.

Taurus: April 20 to May 20

Taurus, you had a passionate, fiery March. Uranus entered a period of renewal, and you’ve been in the zone. However, you’ve probably lost touch with your personhood  due to all of this productivity. April’s sun in your twelfth house  is the perfect time to take a nap, put time into your personal life and focus on what makes your career worth it: the ability to be a more genuine you.
The April 5 new moon in Aries will ignite your creative brain, and you don’t want to be bogged down by your to-do list while the muses are speaking to you. Try to draw healthy boundaries at work, and don’t let your schedule overwhelm you (even though Mars in Taurus will be screaming at you to do more all month long).
One good reason to slow down? Retrograde “high season” begins this month as Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn all make their backspins through the sky. Your emotions may be running high, giving you all the more reason to really prioritize self-care. And I don’t mean face masks and spa days. You live for order, and you may feel like your personal life (and personal finances) have been running amuck. Take time to put them together this month. It'll be worth it.

Gemini: May 21 to June 20

Gemini, this month is full of the energy you’ve been desperately craving. Dominant Mars is in your sign until May 15, bringing you a powerful energy that can control a room. Combine that with the sun in Aries and your eleventh house of popularity, and you’re unstoppable.
The Aries new moon on April 5 will ignite a six month period of developing your dream support system. That might mean finding a new mentor, really connecting with a work-wife, or just finding a killer group of friends who you can complain to and celebrate with. Be open to happy hour invitations or scheduled workshops; you never know where you’ll meet your next partner in crime.
On April 19, the Libra full moon will illuminate your third house of communication and ideas. Use this energy to barrel into meetings with your great intel and ideas. You will be heard. And during this period of great achievement, be sure to right down a list of all your accomplishments. You’ll have things to celebrate on hard days.

Cancer: June 21 to July 22

You’ve been feeling a bit unsure of what you want to focus on this year. You’ve felt a bit deflated at work (especially by the frustrations of Mercury retrograde) and you haven’t had the energy to hustle as hard as you know you  can. Thankfully, Aries season brings the sun to your tenth house of career and ambition, providing you the passion that you’ve been missing for a long time.
This month will bring grand opportunities that spark a new professional hope, but be sure not to dive in too quickly. Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto will go into retrograde later in April, proving this time is an important time to evaluate your choices before diving in.
The sun will enter Taurus and your social eleventh house on April 20, bringing you the perfect finale to Aries season; you’ll have the plan, and then you’ll get to find the people to help you execute. Prepare for a busy social calendar later in April by really giving yourself some TLC at the beginning of the month. Cancer, you know that a good workout and a glass of wine is your best friend.

Leo: July 23 to August 22

Leo, you’re on a roll. The sun is in Aries and your expansive ninth house until April 20th, letting your imagination run wild and introducing you to every professional possibility imaginable. Use this energy to speak to people in your field, pick their brain on your upward trajectory and lay out the perfect plan for yourself. The sky feels like the limit, and that’s because it is!
Your creativity will also be ignited in April, with Jupiter going into Mercury retrograde in your fifth house of passion and creativity. Your magnum opus might be on its way. Be sure to tend to it by focusing on things that inspire you — whether its an artistic project at work or the club you just joined.
You might be asked to put your big ideas to work sooner than expected; on April 19, the Libra full moon illuminates your third house of communication. This will help you sell your ideas, and might even land you a supportive professional partner. Don’t be shy during your next team meeting or your next networking event. This month has a lot planned for you.

Virgo: August 23 to September 22

Virgo, you have a penchant for perfection. And as a result, you’ve been burning the candle at both ends. However, as the sun is in Aries and your private eighth house, its your annual time to go off the grid. Focus in on a few important projects and people. This month, you may not be great at big picture thinking or public interactions, but you will make some serious headway on important tasks and relationships.
The Aries new moon is an important time to look at the long-term personal commitments in your life. You may be feeling a pull to take the plunge and really commit. But first, evaluate your financial goals, your career trajectory and even your intimate relationships. You’re the queen of checklists, so use this time to revel in your organizational energy.
Your home life might need some organization, too. Jupiter’s retrograde later this month in Sagittarius —  and your fourth house of home and family — may cause domestic tensions. Take care of things at home so you can take care of tasks at work. Remember that leaving early or taking a personal day isn’t a sign of failure, even for you, Virgo.

Libra: September 23 to October 22

Libra, you’re happier in a group... and you’re happiest in a group of happy people. Thankfully, April is your time to shine. The sun will be in Aries and your seventh house of partnerships. Invest in people, and good things will come.
The Aries new moon may bring a partnership opportunity — whether that means a new relationship with a colleague that helps you achieve your goals, or a new contact that develops into your co-founder. However, this month is also the best time to work on your long-term relationships. The next few weeks might spell a breakthrough with your relationship with your boss, your relationship with your partner or your relationship with your soon-to-be work wife. Vulnerability and honesty are key to opening new doors with the people in your life.
While you may get energy by connecting, be careful while planning your social calendar. Running yourself down will leave other avenues of your life unattended. Be sure to schedule time to get your work done while you work it.

Scorpio: October 23 to November 21

Scorpio, Mercury retrograde dragged you through the mud — and you’re done with the chaos. Thankfully, the April sun has entered Aries and your sixth house of health and organization. You’re ready to get rid of stress with a new workout routine, volunteer like you said you would in your New Year’s resolutions and ask for that raise you were campaigning for during Q1.
As you reach for your goals, use the energy of the new moon in your sixth house (which also rules helpful people) to assess your support systems. Do you have the right people in your corner? Do you have a sponsor who has your back? If not, you have the next few months to find the best people to stand at your side.
The spring and summer may actually inspire you to evaluate other crucial parts of your life. Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto will enter retrograde this April — and remain sliding backwards through the sky for the next four or five months. We’re used to this happening once a year, so there’s no need to panic. But the freewheeling planets may inspire you to take a look at what you can change in your life. In particular, Jupiter will be flying through your second house of work, money and security. It’s the perfect time to tighten up your budget, to clear up your role at work and to start calling your parents more often (I see you).
This is also the perfect time to work on your inner-connection with yourself. Invest in a personal-growth workshop, yoga classes or a retreat. Anchor yourself in your sense of self worth, and professional growth will flow freely. Scorpio, the stars are spelling a lot of change for you, but its going to be great. Mercury retrograde, no more!

Sagittarius: November 22 to December 21

Sagittarius, it’s time to have some fun. You’ve been dealing with some big demands and new pressures at work, but in April, you will finally find your flow. And that flow will allow you to work on new, fun things — whether its a side project or a new fitness regiment. Aries is in your festive fifth house, inspiring you to prioritize personal growth and pleasure. It may be the perfect time to plan a luxurious vacation or to take a long weekend for some R&R; everyone around you knows that you deserve it.
Reconnecting with the joy in your life will inspire some changes to your priorities (and your professional life). Your cosmic ruler, Jupiter, is in retrograde through your sign from April 10 to August 11, inspiring novelty and change. You may make a side hustle full time, start writing that book you’ve always wanted to write or rearrange your working schedule to give you more time for your personal life. Take confidence in the changes you want to make, pursue your passions and get ready for a summer where all the projects you put on the back burner are center stage. Your happiness will make you unstoppable; what a fun way to kick off the new season.

Capricorn: December 22 to January 19

April is set to be a very internal month for Capricorn. You’re reevaluating feelings, getting rid of baggage, journeying towards true authenticity and getting vulnerable. This deep dive into your emotions is against your nature, but it is required by this month’s energy. And in the end, it will pay off.
The April sun’s visit to your fourth emotional house  — and the Aries new moon digging up feelings you haven’t thought about in a while — will require you to admit your weaknesses and imperfections to yourself. However, don’t beat yourself down. Everyone is imperfect, and realizing what you can do better  will make you more successful. Putting this lens on your experience will allow you to feel less self-indulgent, and will preserve the sense of productivity that Capricorns' crave.
Later in the month, retrograde “high season” begins as Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn all begin their backspins through the sky. This will bring about a period of deep thought as things in your career (that you normally depend on to form your sense of self) go wrong. However, this doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Deep thought can result in some serious work — maybe you will develop a new creative project, a new spiritual connection or a new relationship with a mentor who drags you out of the dark. Hang tight, Capricorn, and try to welcome this growth. Also, be sure to keep your famous to-do lists at your desk. This time of thinking could cause your mind to wander more often than usual.

Aquarius: January 20 to February 18

Aquarius, you often feel inspired but get stuck at a dead end trying to explain your brilliant ideas — especially in professional settings. Thankfully, the Aries sun in your third house of communication means April is bound for synergy. You are ready to let your creative concepts fly free, and it's a good thing; you’ll see real success in speaking and writing engagements this month.
The April 5 new moon is the perfect time to take on a new collaborative project. You may even get a grand idea from a conversation, or from picking a colleague's brain on what your organization needs. Be sure to run with ideas you have, because you are bound for genius during this moon cycle.
However, a collaborative project isn't the only thing moon cycles will bring this month. On April 19, the Libra full moon will illuminate your ninth house of big picture goals, inspiring you to sniff out new opportunities and ponder taking a chance. Be sure to look before you fall, Aquarius. While your intuition is good, you need to make sure you have a plan before you take that on new opportunity or join that new team.
The sun will move into Taurus and your anchoring fourth house on April 20, grounding you and bringing these plans to light. During this time, focus on how your career contributes the rest of your life. Then, use this reflection to plan for the year ahead.

Pisces: February 19 to March 20

Pisces, March was a rough run. Between Mercury retrograde in your sign and a serious period of renewal with the Pisces new moon, you are exhausted. Thankfully, April will bring the rest you really need. The sun is in Aries and your second house of work, money and routines. This will gift you a methodical energy that helps you tackle every day in a comfortable way, something you tend to struggle with. This orderly time is the perfect opportunity to rethink your personal finances. And with perfect timing, the Aries new moon on April 5th may bring a new moneymaking opportunity — whether its a job offer or your first side project.
As you take life day by day, you may be inspired to introduce some new routines into your life. Whether its clean eating or a new way to tackle your inbox, remember to take things slow. It takes 21 days to form a habit, and you can’t be getting frustrated with yourself as you figure things out; it wastes precious time.
Jupiter’s retrograde later this month in Sagittarius, your tenth house of career and leadership, may heighten your frustration with things not moving fast enough. Just remember that times of change must be matched with times of rest. Temper your emotions and allow yourself to take your time making big career changes. Speak to a mentor, journal about your priorities and explore your possibilities. If you take the time to plan now, you will be more effective later.
