Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are the heartbeat of our diverse and inclusive culture at Brother. These voluntary groups not only embody our Shared Values and Strategic Culture Drivers, but they also contribute to our dynamic community.
Our ERGs empower employees to foster new connections, promote understanding and champion inclusivity through meaningful initiatives. The primary objective of Ways (Women at your side) is to cultivate an inclusive environment that supports and encourages women to advance their skills and leadership potential through connection, collaboration, and discussion.
Times have changed, and Brother has evolved our in-office scheduling. Our hybrid policy allows many employees to work from the office 3 days per week and remotely for 2 days, and our core hours are from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, so you have the option to come in early or work late, depending on how your schedule changes. Brother offers Flexible Fridays year round, which give you a half day to start your weekend early or take advantage of uninterrupted focus time. Eligible employees can take advantage of weeks that are designated as Work From Home weeks. These weeks are pre-scheduled around key holidays throughout the year in order to provide additional work-life balance.
We are committed to supporting you if/when you welcome a new child to your family. For this reason, we are happy to provide Paid Parental Leave for births, adoptions or placements. Under this policy, eligible employees (birthing or non-birthing) may take up to 6 weeks of paid parental leave within the six-month period immediately following the birth, adoption or placement of the child or the exhaustion of any covered pregnancy-related disability leave under the company’s short-term disability program. Short-term disability provides a weekly benefit that equals 100% of your base annual salary for up to eight (8) weeks of certified disability, then 85% of your base annual salary for the remaining 18 weeks while you remain disabled.
Prior to your leave, our leave coordinator will meet with you to review the leave process with you and provide you with an overview of the benefits you can utilize during your pregnancy and after the baby arrives. This includes programs from our medical plan provider and also, our employee assistance & work/life partner.
We understand that there are times when you may be called away from work to care for your sick child, spouse (or domestic partner) or parent (including parents-in-law). To help support you during such difficult times, we are pleased to offer a paid Caregiver Leave which will provide up to 6 weeks of 100% paid leave within a 12-month period.
