While we still have a distance to go, we are proud of many things: More than 50% of our colleagues globally are female, and 47% of our summer analysts and associates are female. At Citi, we are leading with transparency and there is a tremendous amount of momentum around the work to strengthen our diverse and inclusive culture. In August 2018, we announced our new representation goals, including those for female colleagues around the world – to increase our representation of female AVPs through MDs globally to 40%. In January 2019, we were the first U.S. company to publicly release the results of our pay equity review, which compared median pay for all female employees with median pay for all male employees at Citi. We have made pay adjustments as part of the compensation cycle following our review, and increased the level of transparency we provide about our diversity efforts, which underscores our commitment to improve. In addition to the various efforts underway to incorporate diversity & inclusion into our business priorities, recruitment efforts and promotion processes, Citi also aims to drive economic growth for women through our business and partnerships – including our work with UN Women, Grameen America and Girl Rising.
