"I have been fortunate to have had a long career here and have generally been treated fairly. There are a lot of women working for the organization but it is difficult to get into senior leadership positions. Management is male-dominated and not diverse which makes it difficult to network with them so those in mid-level management positions don't seem to advance because of that. When they do, it seems those choices are made simply because of diversity requirements and they do not last long in those positions. The insurance world is still an old boys club but it is also a very rewarding business and if you work hard and care about your business you will be rewarded for that. You can set yourself up to have a long career here and things will continue to change for the positive as people retire and new opportunities emerge."
