"Working at Appian has been the most rewarding 5 years of my career, and each year it gets better and better. We've grown tremendously over the last couple of years. With growth, there will always be growing pains. However, with growth also comes opportunity. It's a fast paced environment, with a lot of opportunity for you to drive immediate positive impact regardless of your tenure. While I'm not a huge debater, we do have a debate culture intended to ensure your voice and your opinions are heard - which I appreciate. The best idea wins, as our CEO says."

"Make sure to negotiate your base salary and PTO before joining. Set your boundaries on the flexibility you need from the beginning."

"Improve work-life balance and policies (e.g. flex-time, limit face time)"

"Overall, Appian provides a great level of flexibility and work-life balance. Many employees adjust their work hours, and PTO is strongly encouraged. The reason I didn't give Appian a 5 is because there isn't a formal remote work policy, so flexibility can vary by department and manager. Many other companies in the DC area formally allow and encourage 2-3 days of telework per week. "
