"Some departments are worth giving a try. But you just have to know you'll face challenges and getting to the top will require a lot of personal sacrifices. If you are further in your carerrr and have a family it is really hard to stay in the game."

"I love, and am most thankful for, the freedom and flexibility to balance work and life, as well as to take ownership of your career. My leadership is incredibly passionate about making sure each of our associates are doing work that is truly fulfilling and inspiring. Never have I felt limited by hierarchy, role, team, etc. My opinion feels valued and I have many ways to voice it. I love that I can take an idea and run with it, without needing layers upon layers of approval. The pay and benefits are fantastic. "

"Capital One is making significant progress in diversity, including a jump in the number of females executives recruited and promoted over the past couple of years. There is still work to do at the top levels of the organization, though. But overall as financial services companies go, it is working to be forward leaning and there is a vibrant, lively women's network that does a lot to support women throughout the company."

"Great benefits for maternity leave. Recently went from 12 to 18 for moms and 2 to 8 for dads. It would be wonderful to have more working moms in senior leadership positions."

"Capital One is the best job I've ever had. It's incredibly rewarding to work at a place that cares about its Mission, has bold aspirations, is full of smart and talented people -- and, that also enables a great work/life balance (our founder and CEO has eight kids!). "
