"Ask for higher salary for your first job at GE. Once that number is set they will only give you 2-5% increase regarless of position or any improvements you have done. In my last role I received my Black Belt and my PMP (Project Management Professional) certificates and it did not mean anything."

"It depends on your manager. My last manager tied me to my desk eventhough I have been in the workforce since 1994. My current manager does not care where, how and when I do my job as long as it is done."

"GE offers great flexibility and parental leave plans. But, if you don't want to work all the time, then you need to set strong boundaries on your workload. "
