"I've worked here for over 10 years, and have had great success. My value is not based on my gender, but rather the role I play for our business. I can't say for myself, or any colleagues that we've been overlooked due to our gender. Although I think we may make slightly less."

"I've worked here for 25 years and I'm energized by the people around me. Really top level talent and performers. In the right situation, employees are really empowered to make decisions. In some organizations, it's very political. I'm currently in one that is almost exclusively male run. This group is one to avoid. Overall, I've really enjoyed GE, had a fabulous career, and recommend it. But know that many of the attitudes are set. Promotion is based on who you know. And get to know a lot of men."

"I've worked here for almost a decade and I think it is hard to give an answer to this question that would apply to all GE businesses. They all have their own culture. It seems like men advance more quickly than women (mostly because they do). The Women's Network has never seemed like it benefits anyone to me. Like others said... Boy's Club."

"Good company to work for as long as you are willing to put in long hours, Network, execute and impress the right people. If you are one of the favorites or have completed a leadership program you will get ahead. Minorities still have work to do to get promotions and equal pay."

"There are very few women with outside sales roles, making this a truely good ole boys club. There is no work life balance for women or men. You will lose lots of time with family because of the significant amount of travel. I had a major health issue and was let go while on medical leave."
